History

For the past five years,  Circle Star Pet Resort has been incredibly generous in reserving six kennels for homeless dogs to stay in, all food, entertainment and dog training. Sometimes however there aren't always rooms available...and then we have to turn needy pups away. Since most homeless dogs have never been inside a house, they don't know how to act which means even if they are lucky enough to get adopted, it probably won't last.

Plans

Although we can completely obedience train the rescue dogs while they are staying at the resort, we can't housebreak or teach inside manners or introduce dogs to other dogs and cats. WE NEED TO BUILD A RESCUE HOME so we can teach them the very necessary skills of becoming house broken and learn not to get on the furniture without being invited or not to take food from the counter, table and trash. Dogs staying in the new rescue house will also be evaluated and trained if possible, to co-exist with cats as many possible adoptive homes have cats.  These are skills that will absolutely determine the success or failure of an adoption.

This is a first of it's kind program in the country- a real solution that is proven to get hard to adopt animals homes and the skills to keep them.
